The Province of New Brunswick has begun brewing its own beer
to help combat apparently sinking beer sales. It is the first time in history that a Provincial Government has brewed beer and made it publicly available at the legally cheapest price – $18.67 / dozen.
I don’t know if I believe in the fact that people in New Brunswick aren’t drinking their fair share of beer. I know that if I lived out there I’d be half in the bag most of the time with microbreweries like the Pump House and Picaroons Brewing Company putting out quality product.
The two beers available are Selection Lager and Selection Light and are accompanied by a list of beer-based recipes for bread, dips, chili and soup… It will be interesting to see how this helps beer sales moving forward.
