For anyone wanting to check out some great classic rock this weekend in Calgary come down to Denim Lounge and check out Stash. I’ll be sitting in with the band on drums Saturday night making loud noises!

The setlist includes hits moving from The Rolling Stones, ZZ-Top, The Beatles and Lynyrd Skynyrd all the way up to Van Halen, Jet and The Black Crowes.

Come down for a pint and a plate of wings and a whole bunch of classic rock!!

Classic Rock Gig.

Last night I played my first live gig in a very long time at Denim Lounge here in Calgary. It was a setlist featuring songs by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Guess Who and even Steve Earle. The crowd got into it early and filled the dancefloor during the second set of the 8 sets we played. I say 8 sets because the Flames were playing so we were the “interstitial fill” between periods. Since the Flames lost, we discussed playing an hour or so of blues, but people wanted to party so AC/DC it was. All-in-all it was an awesome show, all the folks who stuck around after the show said they had a great time and one guy even said he’d been coming to the bar for a few years and it was the first time he’d danced there! We were invited back to play again as apparently we helped the bar sell a lot of beer — in case you didn’t notice, unless you’re a signed band that’s your role – sell beer… There are photos floating around out there somewhere and when I get my hands on them I’ll be posting them here! Cheers to all of you who came out last night and partied with us and to those of you interested – the band is called “Stash” and I’ll keep you informed of our next gigs.
